Police in Sheema District have launched an investigation into a fatal hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a ten-year-old boy. The incident occurred on December 31, 2024, at Rugasha Cell in Migina, along the Migina-Kooga feeder road.

According to Marcial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi police spokesperson, the deceased has been identified as Elivis Akampwera, a resident of Mashwojwa village in Migina, S vcvc heema Municipality.

Reports indicate that a white tipper truck was traveling at high speed from Migina trading center towards Kooga when it struck the young pedestrian. Police are working to locate the vehicle and the driver involved in the incident.
