19 year old Kazo man drowns in swamp

19 year old man drowns in swamp, body still missing

Police together with residents of Mushabwa II cell in kyampangara Sub-County in kazo district are hunting for the body of a 19 year old man who drowned in Mushabwa swamp. The deceased has only been identified as Julius, a resident of Kashitamo Cell in Engari Sub County, Kazo District.

According to residents, the deceased together with his friend Mujuni Ronald were riding on a motorcycle on their way to Kyabahura-Buremba from Kazo Town Council at around 11 PM last night.

Kazo Sub County GISO, Tashobya Hamson suspects these people were drunk and tried to cross the swamp which had flooded with water. He appeals to the public to avoid crossing flooded water especially these rainy days.

Kyampangara Sub County Councillor Hon Ham Rubainika urges people not to dare cross flooded water since that could lead to drowning. By Press time, residents were still hunting for the body of the deceased.
