Around 40 people survived a bus accident early this morning at involving Freedom Bus, registration number UBJ 256S.

The incident occurred in Kiruhura Town Council, along the Rushere-Ibanda Road, between Nyakasharara Trading Centre and Kiruhura Trading Centre in Kiruhura District.

The bus, which was traveling from Kampala to Ibanda, encountered a cow on the road. In an attempt to avoid the cow, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to plunge into a ditch.

Fortunately, only six passengers sustained minor injuries, including the driver, who suffered injuries to his legs.
