Kasese Police investigate death of S.4 student
Police
in Kasese District are investigating the sudden death of a senior
four student at Bwera Secondary School following the recent
death of another candidate who died by hanging. The
deceased, Nabasirye Sulaina reportedly sat for her
UNEB exams on Monday and later participated in study preparations with
her classmates during prep time.
Sources indicate that after returning
to their dormitory, Sulaina experienced breathing difficulties and
was rushed to Bwera General Hospital by school authorities,
unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at around 11:00 PM.

Nelson Tumushime stated that police led
by Bwera Division Police Commander SP Tai Ramathan, responded to
the incident. Samples have been collected for a post-mortem examination
as investigations continue.
An emergency meeting with students was held at the school
this morning, and examinations are proceeding as planned.
On Saturday, 16-year-old Emmanuel Maate, a senior four candidate from
Karambi Senior Secondary School, was found hanging in
his room in Mirami village in Karambi
Sub-county, Kasese district.
