Bushenyi District Boss requests for more funding to security
Bushenyi District Chairman, Jafari Bassajabalaba has challenged government to improve on the funding allocated to police institutions and the office of Director of Public prosecution (DPP).
He made these remarks yesterday at a function of opening the 40-days High Court sessions at Bushenyi High Court. Bassajabalaba observed that these security agencies at times fail to execute their duties due to poor payment hence requested the government to allocate more funds to Police institutions and DPP office.
Bushenyi district Chairman said that most of the criminal cases are dismissed because of lack of substantial evidences due to limited funds needed to go further do investigations hence denying justice to victims.
At the same function, the Bushenyi resident judge, Justice Amos Kwizera was concerned that the number of youths involved in committing crimes is increasing attributing this to escalation to poverty. He asked leaders to sensitize youth about money-making activities so that they don't get time for committing offenses.
