Murder and Suicide in Kyenjojo: Casual labourer murders Boss, commits suicide
Police in Kyenjojo District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of a woman who was murdered by a casual laborer.
The deceased, identified
as Habasa Patience was killed by a one Byamukama and
the incident occurred on September 8th in Omwibare-Karokarungi
Village, in Kyakatwire Town Council, Kyenjojo Dsistrict.
Preliminary investigations
reveal that Byamukama used
a panga to behead Habasa before taking his own life by
hanging in a tree near a sugar cane plantation in the same village.
Bikorwomuhangi Fostinah, the
LC1 chairperson of the Omwibare-Karokarungi Village, stated
that Byamukama was buried by residents under police supervision in
the sugar plantation.
Bikworomuhangi Jusper,
the son of the deceased reported that the two had a quarrel the
previous night, during which his mother demanded that Byamukama leave
her bedroom as he was under the influence of alcohol.
Deogracious Tusingwire,
the Mayor of Kyakatwire Town Council said that local leaders
are collaborating with police to ensure that all new members of the community
are properly introduced to authorities for easier identification.
