Prepare your children early, parents urged
As schools prepare to reopen for the first term of the 2025 school calendar, parents and guardians are encouraged to start early preparations for their children's education, including securing school requirements and fees.
In an interview with Kazo FM today, Kazo District Inspector of Schools, Johnbosco Tumwesigye, urged parents and guardians to take proactive steps in arranging school fees and other necessary items to avoid delays in getting their children to school once it reopens.
According to Tumwesigye, many parents tend to procrastinate in enrolling their children, which hinders their studies. He advised parents to keep their children engaged with household chores rather than leaving them unsupervised, as idleness can lead to negative behaviors.
Additionally, he urged teachers to prepare in advance and report to their respective schools early to organize their lesson plans and ensure a smooth transition for their students.
