Heads of primary
schools have been urged to refrain from cheating ahead of the Primary
Leaving Examinations (PLE) scheduled for next month. This appeal was made
by Mayor Gumisiriza Kyabwisho of Mbarara City North Division
during the release of the Primary Leaving Examination (PRE-PLE) results for
schools in the division, an event sponsored by
Hon. Kajubi Benon Maisho at the division headquarters
today.
Kyabwisho emphasized
that it would be embarrassing to discover that some schools are planning to
engage in examination malpractice warning that such actions could
tarnish the reputation of the division and lead to poorly prepared students.
Mbakureeba Jenkins,
the coordinator of the examinations and head teacher
of Katojo Primary School encouraged head teachers to
utilize the remaining days effectively to enhance student performance.
Nathan Mugume,
the chairperson of the head teachers in Mbarara City North Division
and head teacher of Mbarara Junior, expressed appreciation for the
support provided by Hon. Kajubi Benon in advancing education in
the division and thanked the leadership for their collaboration.
In his remarks,
Hon. Kajubi Benon Maisho, a former aspiring Member of Parliament
for Mbarara City North Division and the sponsor of the exams, reaffirmed his
