Police in Mbarara have launched an investigation into the disappearance of 52-year-old Judith Kyarisiima, a senior midwife at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.

Kyarisiima went missing on September 2, 2024, from her home in Katete, Mbarara City and according to SP Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region police spokesperson has confirmed that authorities are looking into the matter.

Halson Kagure, the public relations officer for Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, noted that Kyarisiima, who has been in charge of maternal and child health at the facility, was last seen there on August 28, 2024.
