Ibanda Muslim District Kaadhi, Sheikh Yusuf Kalule Juma, has praised President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for granting Muslims the freedom to worship. He expressed his gratitude during the Eid Al Fitr celebrations, which mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, at Rugarama Main Mosque in Ibanda Municipality.

In his address, Sheikh Yusuf emphasized the importance of the relationship between religion and government, commending the president for fostering an environment conducive to religious freedom.

He also informed the congregation about various government programs aimed at poverty eradication. During the Futali dinner, the president pledged to provide digging tractors to assist locals in practicing agriculture on a larger scale.

Regarding Muslim women, Sheikh Yusuf noted that the president has allocated funds for them, which are awaiting the formation of associations to benefit the community.

Finally, he expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Ibanda District local government, highlighting their commitment to cooperation and relationship-building with other religious groups for the development of the area.
