Police in Kaliro District have arrested two teachers on allegations of defiling two young girls.

The suspects are Grace Mukabile, 35, and Protus Fumbula, 27, and they are currently detained at Kaliro Central Police Station. According to police investigations, Mukabile is alleged to have defiled a 15 year old, whose parents say she got missing after Christmas festive season. Mukabile has been staying with the girl in his house in Kaliro.

Fumbula another suspect is said to have been having a relationship with a 14 year old girl. It is said that Fumbula has been staying with the girl in his rented house since December 30th, 2023 in Ivukula town council in Namutumba district. Michael Kasadha, the Busoga North police spokesperson says the suspects will be arraigned in court on charges of defilement.
