Christians of North Ankole Diocese have welcomed their Bishop-elect Rev Can Alfred Muhoozi ahead of his consecration.

Christians led by the Out going Bishop Rt Rev Stephen Namanya have welcomed Bishop-elect Rev Can Alfred Muhoozi at the Diocese headquarters Emmanuel Cathedral in Rushere Town Council, Kiruhura District.

Bishop-elect Rev Can Alfred Muhoozi will be the third Bishop of North Ankole Diocese. According to Bishop Stephen Namanya, the Consecration and Enthronement of the Bishop-elect will be on May 26th, 2024 at Emmanuel Cathedral Rushere. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to be the Guest of Honor on that function and the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Dr. Stephen Kazimba Mugalu will also grace the function with other Bishops.
