Fire guts house in Ibanda
Fire has gutted a house of Kyomuhangi Scovia, a resident of Kajwamushana
3, Rugaaga Parish in Keihangara Sub County, Ibanda district destroying property
worth milions of money.
Kyomuhangi Scovia told journalists that she was from Rubindi town, in
Mbarara from one of the Saccos and when she reached home, she saw her
house burning. She suspects that her little boy she saw running with a match
box from the house might have lit the match box hence starting the fire. Among
the property that were destroyed by this fire is money she got as a school fees
loan from a Sacco in Rubindi amounting to Shs. 800,000.
Bashabe Scovia, the Chairperson Lç1 Kajwamushana 3 requested leaders and
good Samaritans to reach out to the victim of this fire with help since she
lost most of the property in this fire.
When contacted on the issue of loan the victim had
acquired, Arikyiriza Davis, the Loans officer Muhame Financial Services,
Rubindi said they will give their client (Kyomuhangi) some time, they will have
to conduct a meeting with the Sacco's board to get the way forward.
