Police in Kiira region have arrested Paul Mwanje, 35 on allegation of defiling his daughter aged 14. Reports indicate that Mwanje who is a resident of Katende cell, Bugembe ward, in Jinja city has been defiling his P.6 daughter.

The victim informed neighbours that her mother (wife to the suspect) left the marriage after the misunderstandings the couple face, she left her to be staying with her father together with other children. The suspect, according to his daughter could chase the other children away from the house and force her into his bedroom, defiling her.

Mwanje is suspected to have started defiling his daughter in November of last year and James Mubi, the Kiira regional police spokesperson said the suspect is currently detained at Bugembe police station and the victim is receiving medical treatment at a health facility within Jinja city as investigations continue.
