The Anti Corruption Unit- State House together with Police have arrested three Kibuku District Officials on charges of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, corruption issues.

The arrested officials are Kibuku District Education Officer Wamika Christopher, Senior Inspector of Schools Nabirye Leticia and Inspector of Schools Otem Stephen. Their arrest followed complaints of extortion from the Head Teachers in the district who have been complaining that the suspects forced them into paying millions of money from capitation grants, registration of students for the Education Management Information System (EMIS) and other activities in which the schools never partook.

The arrested officials are currently at Kibuku Police Station as investigations continue.
