People are
encouraged to always seek for guidance from friends, political leaders,
counsellors in case they are facing difficulties in their lives. These
remarks were from local leaders who were speaking to mourners at the burial
ceremony of a man who hanged himself in Kazo District.
The deceased,
Ssajja Robert 40’ hanged himself in a jack fruit tree on Saturday August
10th, in Kyenshebashebe Village, Ntambazi Parish
in Kazo Subcounty in Kazo District.
According
to Hope Ntegyereize (the deceased’s mother) Sajja had told
her that he will commit suicide over unknown reasons, even when she
tried to advise him not to dare commit such a crime, he always told her
that he was tired of life.
Twinamatsiko Lawrence,
the area LC1 chairman says the deceased had misunderstandings with his
wife and was always narrating how he will one day kill someone or
himself. Twinamatsiko says he informed Kazo Central Police
Station Police who later gave the body to rrelatives for burial arrangements.
During the burial
ceremony, local leaders, religious leaders including Jackson Muheebwa, the
Kazo Sub County LC3 Chairman, condemned the act of Ssajja hanging hinmself,
advising people to always seek guidance from friends, political leaders,
counsellors to discuss on their life problems they always face instead of hanging
themselves.
