Bushenyi man gives out clothes to friends, commits suicide
Police in Bushenyi district are investigating circumstances under which a 23 year old committed suicide by hanging. The deceased has been identified as Nicholas Gumanawe alias Kabogo, a resident of Kaceeka village, Kajunju Parish, Kyabugimbi Sub County, Bushenyi District.
According to Greater Bushenyi Regional Police Spokesperson Martial Tumusiime, the deceased gave all his clothes to his family members and friens, informing them that he was saying a goodbye to them, something his friends took as a joke.
Maate says Gumanawe later disappeared until on October 27, 2023, when residents discovered his body hanging on a tree in a farm of a one Muhoozi. Police was informed, took the body to Kampala International University Hospital- Ishaka for postmortem as investigations continue to establish the cause of his suicide.
