Police in Rubirizi district have arrested a 25-year-old man on allegations of defiling a four-year-old child.

Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident occurred on a Tuesday at about 11 am in Nyabubare Village 11, Kyabakara Parish. The suspect has been identified is Robert Tindyebwa, a resident of the above address.

The victim was left at home by her parents when they went to work in the garden and the suspect allegedly lured her to go with him to a coffee plantation, where he defiled her.

During the incident, a one Akandwanaho witnessed the act and immediately informed the victim's mother, who rushed to the scene and found the suspect in the midst of the abuse hence informing police who arrested the suspect.
