Bushenyi Taxi drivers accuse police over failure to implement meeting resolutions
Transport system in Ishaka - Bushenyi District today paralysed following the strike of the tax drivers.
Taxi operators accused police and security agencies for failure to implement the ministry of work resolutions together with the Office of the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) on issue of bus operation in Ishaka town.
During the meeting held in June this year chaired by the Commissioner of Transport and Licensing Board Winston Katushabe, resolved that each Bus Company use only four Buses of which some companies are currently doing contrary to.
Muhammad Lukwago the taxi operators ring leader said Tausi Bus Company violated the resolutions. Lukwago noted that they have decided to park all motor vehicles at RDCs office until they put the resolutions into use. By Press time, police officers from Ishaka -Bushenyi were at the RDC's office trying to handle the matter.
