Don't wait for government support-Deputy Speaker
Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa
has urged people to put more efforts in supporting the education system.
The Deputy Speaker made these remarks yesterday while representing the Minister of Education and
Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni as a chief guest at a function of
thanksgiving organized by OBs
and OGs of Kazo Primary School under their umbrella body, Kazo Primary School old Students
Association (KAPSA) held at St. Johns Church Of Uganda in Kazo town council
Kazo district.
Deputy Speaker Tayebwa urged citizens to have the love of
their schools in their communities, put more efforts in supporting their
schools instead of waiting for government support that might delay.
Speaking at the same function, Kazo County Legislator, Hon Dan
Kimosho expressed concern about the increase rate of school dropout and
requested leaders to sensitize people
about the dangers of their children dropping out of schools. Kazo Woman
legislator, Hon Jenipher Muhesi requested people to always work together
towards developing the education systems in their communities.
At the function, over Shs. 45 M cash and pledges aimed at constructing the girls' Dormitory at Kazo Model Primary School.
