Four dead others injured in Sheema accident
Sheema accident claims 4 lives, injures 4 others
At least four people have been confirmed dead while others were seriously injured in an accident that happened along Mbarara- Bushenyi high way.
The accident that at kinaaku-Kyenkokora in Sheema District involved a motor vehicle registration number UBK 919X Toyota Fielder that was driven by Kasimu Kakooza 30 from Namagoma-Nsangi-Wakiso District and a motor vehicle registration number UAJ 337R Mitsubishi canter pickup that was driven by Geoege Ssemboze, 69, from Rwebikoona-Mbarara City.
Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, Matial Tumusiime says the Toyota Fielder was coming from Bushenyi direction heading to Mbarara upon reaching kinaaku-Kyenkokora in Sheema District along Mbarara-Bushenyi highway, the driver was trying to doge a pothole he ended up knocking the canter pickup. He identifies the deceased as Kasimu Kakooza from Wakiso District, Eria Rukwengye 96 from Mitooma District, James Keinerugaba aged 8 from Mitooma District and another one yet to be identified.
The injured victims include Jolly Mushabe, 42 from Mbarara city, a one Atuhaire 60 from Rubindi-Mbarara, Edger Abasi 30 and Simon Natamba, 15 both from Mitooma District. Tumusiime said all the deceased bodies were taken to Kabwohe health center IV mortuary for postmortem and injured victims were also rushed to the same facility for treatment.
