Anthrax reported in Kazo District
Kazo District has confirmed the outbreak of Anthrax, raising fear among people, especially those who depend on selling animals and their products for a living.
The disease has been confirmed in Mirama village, Rwamuranga parish, Kazo sub county, Kazo district according to the district production officer, Asiimwe John baptist. Seven samples were tested and four of them returned positive for this disease.
The District LCV Chairman, Rev Mugisha Katugunda says as district authorities, they will have to put more efforts in sensitising people about Anthrax disease, warning people not to eat meat from dead animals in a way of controlling the spread of this disease.
