Four children have been killed by lightning strike while 3 others were injured in Sheema district.

The deceased children are kankunda Sheila aged 12, Mujuni Trevor aged 9, Nahabwe Comfort aged 6 and Ainembabazi Lonet aged 5 all Grandchildren of Benoni Bintabara who is a resident of kitagata in Sheema district.

Three others who were injured include Ayesiga Armstrong aged 5, Mugisha mark aged 4, Kekiizo Lilian and her child, a one Shielah and are currently admitted at Kitagata Hospital receiving treatment.

The Greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime confirmed this incident noting that they were killed by lightning during the heavy rainfall on January 13th, 2024.
