Rwandan national found dead in Kabale district

Police in Kabale district are currently investigating circumstances under which a 35 year old Rwandan national was allegedly murdered by unknown people. The deceased has been identified as Ibrahim Tuyishimire, a resident of Katuna boarder cell in Kabale district.

According to reports, officers at Katuna Police Station led by OC Turyakira Amos received information on 12th August, 2023 from one of the residents who confirmed he had seen a dead body of unidentified dead man in Katuna boarder cell. Police Officers rushed to the scene found the dead with swollen wounds indicating he was killed.

Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson, Elly Maate says the deceased had documents in the name Tuyishimire Ibrahim, Rwandan national. He says the body of the deceased was taken to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem as investigations into the matter continue.
