Police in Mpigi district, has in custody an Italian national, identified as Forouzesh Patrick, 53 from Mpigi town council, for the alleged rape of a 23 year old, maid.

Facts gathered by Police indicate that the suspect, met the victim at her sister’s place at Mpami village in Mpigi district and offered her a job as a house maid, at a monthly salary of Ugx 200.000/=. The victim started work on 4.09.2023, but while cleaning the table, she was grabbed by the suspect, dragged into the sofa sets and raped her. The suspect claimed it was common to have sex during rain. The victim informed her sister and on 6.09.2023, the matter was reported at Mpigi police station.

Officers at Mpigi Police Station is still investigating the matter and the suspect will be charged to court, to help bring justice to the victim.
