Police in Isingiro District are investigating circumstances under which a 23 year old man was electrocuted.

The deceased has been identified as Karuhanga Silas who was a casual worker in Kyabinunga B Cell,  Kagarama Sub -County in Isingiro District but a born of Mwizi Sub County in Rwampara District.

According to a statement released by Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, it's alleged that yesterday according to Rwegasira Jennifer 63, a farmer while at her shamba at Kyabinunga Trading Center together with the deceased and other workers, the deceased cut one of the trees under transmission electricity wires without appropriate gadgets which fell on the said active wires electrocuting him and he died on spot.

Police at Isingiro Police Station that responded to the scene, conveyed the body of the deceased to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
