Police in Sheema District have arrested a 26 year old man on allegations of rape, defilement.

The Suspect has been identified as Herman Tinyefuza, a resident of Nyanga Ward in Kabwohe Division, Sheema Municipality.

According to Sheema District Police Commander DPC Kasule Consilata, the suspect was arrested after receiving several complaints from women in Kabwohe Town and Sheema Municipality that he (suspect) has been raping them.

Police say since March this year they have registered 4 and 3 cases of rape defilement respectively where Herman is one of the suspects. DPC Kasule said that the investigations have been completed and that the suspect now awaits to be taken to courts of laws to answer the charges of defilement and rape.
