Police in Ibanda district are investigating a case of murder of a 73 year old man who was hacked by unknown assailants.

The deceased is Kabagambe Deus, a resident of Kaaburo II Cell, Rugaaga Parish in Keihangaara Sub County in Ibanda district.

Reports indicate that the deceased left his home on March 16th, later he was found lying dead along the same village foot path away from his home. According to preliminary investigations the body of the deceased was found with a deep wound on his head and might have been hacked with a blunt object.

SP Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the incident noting that the body of the deceased was conveyed to Ruhoko Health Center IV for postmortem as investigations continue.
