Ankole Diocese has released the burial program for Bishop Emeritus George William Tibesigwa,78, who died on Wednesday, August  9, 2023 at Mayanja memorial hospital in Mbarara City. The late Bishop Tibesigwa, who served as the fourth Bishop of the Ankole diocese, succumbed to Diabetes at Mayanja memorial hospital in Mbarara.

According to the burial program released by Ankole Diocese, there will be funeral service today, August 11, at Nyakabare Parish Church of Uganda  from 2PM-5PM and later, his body will be transported to his home in Rugando- Rwampara for a vigil from 5PM-till late.

On Saturday, August 12th, 2023, the body will be transported to St.James Cathedral in Mbarara City where burial will take place. This burial program has been confirmed by the Ankole Diocese Bishop, Rt. Rev. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa.
