Police in Buhweju District are hunting for a man suspected to have killed his six year old biological son. The suspect has been identified as Wilbroad Ayebazibwe, 34, a residents of Kamakanda Village, Katara Parish, Karungu sub-county in Buhweju District, who is alleged to have killed his biological son Linus Akampwera.

According to the greater Bushenyi Region Police Spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime, the mother to the victim Annet Ainembabazi, 31, developed misunderstandings with her husband, Ayebazibwe after returning home from a bar.

Tumusiime said while quarreling with his wife, Ayebazibwe picked a panga and tried to cut his wife who dodged the panga and it landed on the left side of the child’s neck, killing him on spot. The body of the deceased was taken to Nsiika health centre IV for Postmortem examination and investigations into the matter and searching of the suspect have commenced.
