FDC's Patrick Amuriat suspended
FDC's President, Secretary general, Treasurer suspended
The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) faction has suspended some of the party's leaders among the proposals they raised today in their Delegates Confrenence.
The delegates conference organised by FDC Chairman, Wasswa Birigwa was originally planned to be held at Busabala in Kampala however, police blocked FDC leaders from accessing this venue since High Court in Kampala yesterday had issued orders halting this Conference. The venue was changed and it was put at Katonga Road offices started by former FDC President, Dr. Kiiza Besigye.
Police blocked members from accessing Katonga Road offices however, some managed to access and continued with this conference. Among the proposals from this conference read by FDC Spokesperson Hon Semuju Nganda, the FDC fact has decided to suspend the FDC President Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Secretary General Nandala Mafabi and Treasurer Ekanya Geoffrey.
These will be replaced by their deputies; Deputy President Elias Lukwago will be acting as the interim president, Deputy Secretary General, Harold Kaijja as interim Secretary General and Deputy Treasurer, Hon Mwijukye Francis as interim General Treasurer. A disciplinary committee has been put in place to investigate on the above suspended leaders.
