The National Drug Authority (NDA) has found two fake Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccines on the market. 

NDA says it discovered these fake FMD vaccines on the market, they include Purified FMD Fotivax Foot and Mouth Inactivated Vaccine and National Veterinary Institute Foot and Mouth Disease Broad Spectrum. NDA in a statement released today indicate that these products of vaccines have not undergone NDA's approval processes hence no guarantee on their safety, quality and efficacy.

NDA has informed the public that FMD vaccines are procured and imported by government through Ministry of Agriculture, Animal husbandry and Fisheries and distributed to the districts through districts' veterinary doctors.
