Police in Sheema District are investigating circumstances under which a former primary school teacher was allegedly murdered over unknown reasons.

Greater Bushenyi PoliceSpokesperson, Martial Tumusiime has identified the deceased as Alexander Atwiine, 46, a resident of Kyagaju Central Cell, Kyagaju Ward, Kabwohe Division, Sheema Municipality, Sheema District. Preliminary investigations indicate that a resident, Elisam Ssenyondo, a brick maker discovered the dead body of Atwiine and informed police.

Tumusiime notes that the body had several minor fresh bruises, police suspects that the deceased could have been murdered. Police took the body to Kabwohe Health Center 1V for Postmortem as investigations continue.
