Police in Greater Bushenyi Sub Region honored Martial Tumusiime, who retired after serving as the Regional Police Spokesperson for 13 years.
Tumusiime, who joined the police in 1991 and served for 34 years in various departments, was praised for his time management and commitment.
Greater Bushenyi regional police commander, Godfrey Achiria challenged officers to prepare for retirement and maintain connections with their communities, noting that isolation can contribute to officers passing away soon after leaving the service.
Achiria commended Tumusiime for his good work and retirement preparation. Bushenyi DPC, Aggrey Okumu, described Tumusiime as a dedicated and punctual officer.
Tumusiime who handed over his office to Apollo Tayebwa, who will serve in an acting capacity applauded the police team for the cooperation during all these years he has been serving in the Police organisation.
