Police in Ibanda district are investigating circumstances under which a primary school teacher was killed by unknown people.

The deceased has been identified as Mugisha Spiritus,59, a resident of Bugarama Cell 1 in Bisheshe Division, Ibanda Municipality, Ibanda district.  Mugisha, a teacher Kentitiriyo Primary School in Kakinga- Muziza was killed on 30th August, 2023 at around 8pm and his body was dumped near his home in Bugarama Cell 1.

According to Chairman LC1 Bugarama 1 Cell Nkabesiga Enock, the deceased has been a peaceful person in Bugarama Cell 1 and wondered why unknown people killed him. By Press time, Police from Ibanda Central Police Station had arrived the scene, took the body to Ruhoko Health Centre IV for post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
