Hon Ssenyonyi responded to criticism from social media people who criticised his silence over corruption allegations in Parliament, after some people accused the Opposition of covering the corruption in Parliament. Hon Ssenyonyi said his silence was deliberate and intended to allow him gather all the information raised in the public and thanked the public for coming out to demand for accountability from Parliament.

The corruption allegations according to Ssenyonyi range from things like travel per diem, where the Speaker Anita Among's travel per diem that should be US$990, the figures which were shown indicate her travel per diem is beyond US$4000. He asked top leadership of parliament led by speaker Among to respond to all these corruption allegations and abuse of office labelled against the institution (Parliament).
