Police hunt man on allegations of killing own father over coffee
Police
in Sheema district are hunting for a 28 year old man on allegations
of murdering his 70 year old biological father.
The
suspect, Bitwire Julius 28 ,a boda boda rider and a
resident of Kyabahaija 11 in Kamindo
Town Council, Sheema district is said to have murdered his
biological father, Tiburisiyo Bitwire, 70, a resident of the same area.
Martial Tumusiime, the
Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson has confirmed the reports noting
that investigations indicate that on May 6th,
2024,the suspect allegedly stole coffee from his father (now the deceased) who
reported the matter to Kakindo Police Station.
The following day, Police
Officers from Kakindo Police Station went to arrest the suspect but he took off
and went into hiding. Maate says the suspect came
back later in the evening, while the deceased was having supper with
his grandchildren, and the (suspect) picked the panga and chopped off
his head.
After this
incident, Bitwire ran to an unknown destination. Police Officers were
informed about this murder incident, visited the scene and took the body
to Kabwohe Health Centre IV for post-mortem as the hunt
for Bitwire continues.
