Police in Kitgum District are hunting for a man who is accused of beating and killing another man, who has been a man friend to his mother.

Sources indicate that Ochira Siliman allegedly beat and killed Ocakacon Ben, a 54 year old, manfriend to his mother Aloch Filder in Jenga village, Kitgum District. It is said that Ochira beat Ocakacon after he allegedly found him having an affair with his mother, Aloch in a potato garden, near their home, on October, 31, 2023 at around 9pm.

Ochira allegedly boxed and hit the Ocakacon repeatedly with a stick killing him instantly, abandoned his body in the garden. Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga says Kitgum Police were informed and visited the scene, took the body of the victim to Kitgum General Hospital for post-mortem. Enanga says efforts are now in place to trace for the whereabouts of the suspect who disappeared immediately after murdering Ocakacon.
