Police in Kazo District are investigating circumstances under which a man murdered his father over unknown reasons. The deceased, Musinguzi Geoffrey, 63, a resident of Omubuzinga 2 village in Kyampangara Sub County, Kazo District was on Sunday August 4th murdered by his son Gumisiriza Elias, 31.

Residents who were angry also murdered Gumisiriza accusing him of murdering his father whom he beat up to death. The reasons as to why Gumisiriza beat and killed the father are still unclear.

Kyampangara Sub County Councillor, Ham Rubeinika confirmed this incident, he suspects that Gumisiriza murdered his father under the influence of drugs. He cautioned people to stop the habit of taking the laws into their hands noting that, residents murdering Gumisiriza was wrong as there is no chance for police to conclude investigations since the main suspect was murdered.

The bodies of the deceased people were conveyed to Ruhoko Health Centre IV for post-mortem as investigations continue.
