Police in Kazo district are investigating a murder case involving a 23-year-old man identified as Nuwamanya Aggrey, the son of Mwesinga David, who resides in Kariba Cell, Kariba Parish, Rwemikoma Sub County.

The incident occurred on Saturday, August 31, when an unidentified man attempted to kill a goat in the village. Nuwamanya intervened, demanding to know why the suspect was trying to harm the animal and in response, the suspect retrieved a panga and brutally cut Nuwamanya's throat.

During a funeral ceremony held yesterday, Kazo Police Community Liaison Officer IP Mwebaze Steven reassured mourners that the suspect turned himself in to the police and is currently in custody. Once the investigations are complete, the suspect will face murder charges.
