Trade Minister urges Christians to embrass development
The Minister of Trade Industry and cooperatives, Francis Mwebesa has urged for the cooperation among Christians in their religions in order to develop their areas.
While representing the Prime Minister Robinah Nabanja as the guest of honor at the fundraising function for a Catholic Church building at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish, Rushere in Kiruhura district on Sunday, October, 22, Minister Mwebesa urged Christians to cooperate and embrass government developmental programs so as to develop themselves. The Minister brought Shs. 10 million for Prime Minister Nabanja as her contribution towards the completion of a Catholic Church building at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish, Rushere in Kiruhura district.
At the function, Rev. Fr. Salverino Sendugwa,Vicar General for Catholics Mbarara branch who represented Archbishop Lambart Beinomusgisha urged Catholics to always work for God, respect Him in order to have an ever lasting life. The district members of parliament including Nyabushozi County MP Kajwengye Wilson, Kiruhura District Woman MP, Jovanice Rwenduru, Isingiro District Woman MP Clare Mugumya were present at the function.
Over 300 Million Shillings that is needed in building a Catholic Church building at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Parish, 80 Million Shillings was collected at the function.
