Mitooma teacher arrested over UNEB Exam malpractice
Police in Mitooma District have arrested a secondary school teacher on allegations of leaking UNEB examination papers.
The suspect has been identified as Dominic
Tumusiime, a Kishwahili teacher at kanyabwanga SS in
Kanyabwanga Sub-County in Mitooma district. According to
Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson, Martial Tumusiime, the suspect
was arrested on Monday 17th October 2023,by police detectives after a tip off from
the school Head teacher who said he (suspect) had shared an image purported to
be an Examination material for UNEB Biology practical paper for 2023, which he
shared on staff's social media( whatsapp group).
In a statement released yesterday 18th October
2023, by UNEB public relations officer Jenipher Kalule Musamba ,the case of
Examination malpractice was reported to police by the school
Headteacher leading to the teacher's arrest and he was due to appear in
court today.
