Rt. Rev. Stephen Namanya, the Bishop of North Ankole Diocese has launched St. Emmanuel Akengyeya Parish Church Of Uganda as the 77th Parish in the diocese. Bishop Namanya was in his pastoral visit to this parish church  in Akegyeya parish, Kyampagara Sub County Kazo district on March 3rd, 2024.

While preaching to Christians, Bishop Steven Namanya challenged Christians to support their nearest  schools instead of taking their children to far schools from other districts. He said when parents prioritize their nearest schools in educating their children, that means they can easily develop their nearest schools hence improving their education systems of these schools.

Orone Francis Odek , the first parish priest  of this church, applauded the Bishop for his tireless contributions to develop of Kyampagara Sub County in church activities, education among other areas. He urged Christians  to have a spirit of cooperating in uplifting the parish to another level.
