One person has been confirmed dead in an accident that happened along the Entebbe – Kampala expressway. The accident happened after a cement mixer truck rammed into a saloon car at Nkumba University traffic lights. 

The driver of a cement mixer truck registration number UAN 836D is said to have lost control, the truck later fell onto a Mitsubishi RVR registration number UBQ 371P today morning in Wakiso District.

According to eyewitnesses, the Mitsubishi had one occupant who died instantly and the driver of the cement truck is said to have sought medical treatment at a nearby facility. A statement from Police indicates that the deceased has been identified as Okoit Raphael ,34, a lawyer working with MALDEF Advocates and a resident of Seeta.
