Four robbers attack people in Bushenyi
Police in Sheema District have launched an investigation into a robbery incident involving four robbers. The attack occurred on December 3, 2024, around 10:00 PM at Kimondo 1 cell in Kitagata Town Council, Sheema District.
Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson confirmed that the victims include 46-year-old businesswoman Julian Turyahabwe, 37-year-old Syson Twijukye Kihosho, and 35-year-old Gerald Twinamatsiko all residents of Kitagata.
During the attack, the robbers who were armed with pangas assaulted the victims in Turyahabwe's shop.
One assailant entered the counter and stole 115,000 UGX and coffee spirits valued at 20,000 UGX while the victims raised an alarm. Turyahabwe's son, who was sleeping nearby, intervened with a spade, injuring one of the attackers before they fled. Police are now hunting for them as investigations continue.
