At least 20 Pupils at St John’s Nyanga Nursery and Primary School in Rwomuti 1 cell in Kenshunga Sub County, Kiruhura district were shocked by lightning in yesterday's rain.
According to the Deputy Head Teacher Twebaze Phionah, the pupils were gathered in a class while it was raining on March 26th, 2024 and were left in shock after lightning struck their building.Speaking to KC News, Amutuhaire Evaline one of the parents at the school whose children were among those left in shock, said after this incident, parents rushed to the school with the aim of rescuing their children.
Gumisiriza Moses, the Chairman LC1 Rwomuti 1 Cell says seven cows belonging to Ivan Mujwani, a resident of Kanyabihara in Kiruhura district were killed by lightning in yesterday's rain.
