Mbarara residents excited about new bridge construction
Residents of Nsiika Parish in Kagongi Sub County in Mbarara District are excited about the construction of a new bridge in their area.
They are optimistic that once Ekicuundezi Bridge is constructed, they will not find problems when transporting their produce to Rubindi -Ruhumba Town council and this bridge will connect Kagongi Sub County and Rubindi Town.
Residents noted that the bridge will enable farmers to transport their produce to markets.
William Bananuka, the Mbarara District engineer said construction works on the bridge were contracted to MBD links limited at cost shs.78 million for a period of two months. The District Resident Commissioner, Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi cautioned the contractor on shoddy works.
