Residents decry lack of seed school in Kenshunga
As the Academic year of 2024 is drawing closer, Parents and leaders of Kensunga Sub County in Kiruhura district want the government to construct for them a Seed school in their Sub County.
According to residents, due to lack of a government seed school in their sub county, they suffer while incurring in a lot of money to take their children to other schools that are far from them.
The Sub county Chairman Matsiko Perez Mujwani says some students have been forced to drop out of schools since there is no nearby school they can attend to. He says so far parents have already fund raised for two classroom blocks to cater for S.1 and S.2 to be situated in Mitooma cell and now request the government to construct other classroom blocks so that they can have a nearby government school.
Chairman Matsiko further says Kenshunga Sub County has government primary schools that are in a bad state and need renovation. These schools are Mitooma primary school, Rwomuti Primary school,Kitaagi Primary school among others.
