Police are hunting for unknown robbers who attempted to rob Equity Bank in Soroti City last night on April 22nd, 2024.

Police Investigations investigations indicate that the suspects (unknown robbers) escaped from the scene after failing to access the banking hall. No one was hurt, and no property or money was stolen according to Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga.

Two people have been arrested by police and they are a security guard and his supervisor whose names have been withheld to avoid interruptions for investigations. The arrested people are being interrogated as part of security investigations.

A statement from Equity Bank indicated that normal banking services have resumed at their Soroti City branch following this robbery incident and that no property or lives were damaged or lost.
