Police in Kazo district are investigating circumstances under a security  guard shot and killed a  54 year old man. 

The deceased has been identified as Emmanuel Sunday who was a  resident of Kanyarigiri Village in Nyamareebe Sub County,  Ibanda district but was a casual labourer in Kazo district. He was shot and killed by a security guard attached to Saracen Security Company Ltd Micheal Mujurizi on Monday July 15 while at George Kwame’s farm in Kazo II, Kazo Town Council.

According to Police investigations, Sunday was shot in the back by a security guard, Mujurizi after he (Sunday) had crossed to the farm where he had allegedly gone to collect firewood. Accoring to Rwizi Regional Police Spokesperson, Samson Kasasira, the suspect is under detention at Kazo Central Police Station as investigations continue.

The deceased will be laid to rest today Thursday July 18 in Kanyarigiri Nyamareebe Ibanda district.
